Third Annual 'Brooktoberfest' Scheduled For September In Brookfield

A celebration of the fall and Oktoberfest traditions dubbed "Brooktoberfest" is set to return with Dachshunds, competitions, food and more.

BROOKFIELD, WI — "Brooktoberfest," a celebration featuring traditional Oktoberfest contests, Dachshund races, a car show, polka music, food, and fun for the whole family, returns to the Town of Brookfield for its third year this fall, the event's host announced Tuesday.

The celebration of autumn, hosted by Discover Brookfield, takes place at Stefans Soccer, 620 Elizabeth Court, on Sept. 30 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., according to a news release from the Town of Brookfield tourism department.

The car show is set to host a wide variety of vehicles with a few German makes and models highlighted. Meanwhile, Elite Sports Clubs is bringing a "Kid Zone" with an inflatable two-story slide and obstacle course, Discover Brookfield said. The festival will also feature a variety of local food truck vendors while the Brookfield Chamber is set to serve local craft beers.

"We are excited to bring back our Brooktoberfest for the third year," said Town of Brookfield Tourism Director Anna Antoine in a statement. "This is my favorite Discover Brookfield event and it’s the perfect way to start Autumn here in the Town of Brookfield.”

The festival this year will also feature a cornhole tournament for the first time where 16 teams can compete for prizes and bragging rights, the news release said.
