Voting Under Way In Brookfield: Everything To Know
Everything you need to know about voting in Brookfield for the election Nov. 3.
BROOKFIELD, WI—Voters in Wisconsin will be headed to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 3, for the 2020 general election.
In addition to the presidential and congressional races, there are several key races at the state and local level. Voting will be different this year thanks to rules approved to expand early and mail-in voting in light of the coronavirus pandemic. You can register in-person at the polling place on Election Day.

How Can I Vote?
In the City of Brookfield, Absentee ballots may be returned:
- USPS mail return: The option is no longer recommended.
- Drop Box Return: You may drop your absentee ballot enclosed inside the completed return envelope, into the Payment Drop Box located on the east side parking lot that runs between the back of City Hall and Brookfield Central High School at any time between now and 8 p.m., on Election Day.
- The drop box is checked daily and on Election Day it is checked multiple times during the day with the last check occurring at 8 p.m.. Click here for a map view of the Drop Box Location.
If you still have your ballot on Election Day, it may be returned in person to your polling location by 8 p.m. on Election Day unless they live in a municipality that uses a central count facility for absentee ballots. In that case, the ballots will have instructions for voters on where they can be dropped off or they can contact their municipal clerk for that information.
People can still vote in-person if they choose not to use their absentee ballots. You can find your polling information by going to the City of Brookfield website or the Town of Brookfield website.

All absentee ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.
