• Tony Evers signs law on corpse hiding inspired by Starkie Swenson case (greenbaypressgazette.com) — A new Wisconsin law, inspired partly by a case involving a Chilton resident, now lets prosecutors charge the crime of hiding a corpse starting when remains are found, not just when the crime occurred. Lawmakers say this closes a loophole exposed after remains tied to a 1983 death were discovered in 2021, long after the original conviction.
