High‑risk victims are immediately connected to the Family Support Center in Chippewa Falls for free, confidential safety planning and support, and the center is also seeking more volunteers to handle growing after‑hours calls. 
• Cadott man charged with drunk driving, reckless endangerment (leadertelegram.com) — A Chippewa County court case datelined in Chippewa Falls involves a Cadott man now facing felony charges after an alleged drunk-driving crash in July that injured another driver. Prosecutors say he ran a stop sign in Ruby, and his record includes prior impaired-driving and reckless-driving convictions. He is scheduled for an initial court appearance today.
