Phoenix Nest to bring women's sober housing to Fond du Lac (wearegreenbay.com) — Women in Fond du Lac will soon have a new sober living option as the Gratitude Club develops the Phoenix Nest, an eight-bedroom transitional home across from its current site. Backed by a $1 city property offer, the project aims to support women after treatment or incarceration, with fundraising underway toward a $1 million goal and hopes to break ground by spring 2026.

2. Man sentenced to 30 years for role in fatal 2024 stabbing and drug theft in Fond du Lac (nbc26.com) — A 23-year-old man has been sentenced in Fond du Lac County to 30 years in prison plus 15 years of supervision for helping plan a 2024 drug robbery that ended in a fatal stabbing in the city. Investigators say text messages showed he directed his co-defendant to bring knives, and the victim later died after crashing while fleeing with a child in the car.

3. 1 man injured in snowmobile crash in Fond du Lac Co. (washingtoncountyinsider.com) — A 69-year-old Fond du Lac man was seriously hurt Monday when his snowmobile left a trail in the Town of Oakfield and hit a tree, throwing him about 30 feet. Fond du Lac County deputies say he was airlifted to Neenah with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and that speed is believed to be a factor.

4. 2 injured in Dodge County State 16-60 crash Dec. 15 (fdlreporter.com) — A 26-year-old Fond du Lac man suffered minor injuries in a serious two-vehicle crash Monday morning on State 16-60 near Lowell in Dodge County, while the other driver was airlifted to Froedtert Hospital. Dodge County authorities say the eastbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck the Fond du Lac man’s pickup, which was towing a trailer with a mini excavator.
