Arrest After Hit And Run + Laundry Room Altercation: Franklin PD Logs

Here's a look back at noteworthy logs reported by the Franklin Police Department for May 30-Sunday.

FRANKLIN, WI — Police arrested a man on May 31 after he hit two vehicles, nearly hit pedestrians, and fled the scene at 27th Street and College Avenue, according to the latest logs publicly reported by the Franklin Police Department.

Police also cited the man for drug-related offenses, police said. The man was taken into custody at Radcliff and Root River Drive in Greendale for hit and run causing injury and recklessly endangering safety, according to logs.

  • A car and a motorcycle crashed around 5 p.m. on June 2 near Ryan Road and 51st street causing several traffic lanes to close, police logs said. The motorcyclist was brought to a hospital, logs said.
  • Police chased a Hyundai Sonata for 10.6 miles after an attempted traffic stop near 27th Street and College Avenue on Friday. Greendale police last saw the vehicle on Interstate 94 near 84th Street and obtained a plate, logs said. On Saturday, police found the car and later mailed a citation for owner’s liability for fleeing from a traffic officer to the vehicle's registered owner.
  • Police arrested a Muskego woman for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-second offense in the 6000 block of Ryan Road on Saturday around 10 p.m., logs said. The woman provided a breath sample which showed a prohibited alcohol concentration of 0.19, police logs said. The woman was brought to a hospital for injuries she suffered in a crash and turned over to county jail.
  • Someone reported the theft of their catalytic converter from their vehicle at Staybridge Suites in the 9500 block of 27th Street and told police someone took it between Saturday and Sunday, logs said.
  • Someone told police the catalytic converter was stolen from her vehicle in the 6800 block of 27th Street, telling police it was stolen on Sunday afternoon.
  • Police cited a Louisana man for disorderly conduct on Sunday at Staybridge Suites in the 9500 block of 27th Street after he had an "altercation" with another guest over laundry equipment, police logs said. The man poured something onto the other person's laundry, logs said. Police cited him and released him on scene, according to logs.
