Brick Pizzeria And Ristorante Opens At Franklin's Ballpark Commons
Colorado-based Brick Pizzeria opened its second-ever location at Franklin's Ballpark Commons on Tuesday, the company announced.
FRANKLIN, WI — A new spot for brick-oven pizza and Italian cuisine opened Tuesday at Franklin's Ballpark Commons.
It's the second-ever location for Brick Pizzeria & Ristorante, according to a news release from ROC Ventures, which developed Ballpark Commons. Brick's first location in Steamboat, Colorado, was opened by Leopoldo Demusis in 2018. Demusis had spent his summers prior nurturing a love of food in the Campania region's hills of Italy but was inspired to bring pizza from Napoli to the United States, the news release said.
“Brick is our hometown connection to a little taste of Italy from the hand-built, brick ovens to imported tomatoes and flour,” said Demusis in the news release. “We will do our best to maintain the integrity and vibe of southern Italy.”

The new eatery features a signature Margherita pizza with San Marzano red sauce, mozzarella and basil, but there is more than just pizza. Italian dishes on the menu include bolognese, short ribs, and meatballs.
“My family and I looked forward to visiting Brick as a ‘must do’ on every annual Steamboat trip,” said Mike Zimmerman, CEO of ROC Ventures, developer of the Ballpark Commons and owner of the Milwaukee Milkmen, in the news release. “We’re beyond thrilled to have such an amazing and authentic Italian eatery right here in Franklin.”
