Car Break-In Attempts In Franklin Over The Weekend: Police

An area between 76th Street and 68th Street, from Rawson to Drexel Avenues, saw some break-in attempts this past weekend, police said.

FRANKLIN, WI — There were several car break-in attempts over the weekend in Franklin, according to the Franklin Police Department.

The agency was made aware of the attempts made by suspects in a black SUV, police announced on Facebook. The attempted break-ins occurred in an area between 76th Street and 68th Street, and between Rawson and Drexel Avenues, police said.

The Franklin Police Department at one point found the suspect car, which turned out to be reported stolen, but a pursuit of the vehicle was ended because of speed, police said.

Alongside the news of the break-in attempts, police reminded everyone to keep their vehicles locked and any valuables out of sight.
