Counterfeit Cash Recovered After Pursuit: Franklin Police

FRANKLIN, WI — A man was arrested and thousands of dollars of counterfeit currency were recovered on the 3100 block of South 70th Street in Milwaukee on Saturday around 2 a.m. after a police pursuit, according to the latest logs reported by the Franklin Police Department.

Police accuse the man of recklessly endangering safety, fleeing, resisting arrest, possession of THC and forgery, logs say. According to logs, the arrest happened after a 5.9 mile pursuit, during which police say the fleeing driver tried to elude officers and endangered the safety of other motorists. Franklin police became involved near Loomis Road and Rawson Avenue, logs say.

The man had run away on foot from the vehicle, and police say several thousand dollars of counterfit currency were recovered. Police say charges were referred to the District Attorney.
