Franklin Memory Care Seniors Host Drive to Help Rebuild Lives
Franklin Place residents delivered donations to Street Angels to support the unhoused.
With homelessness continuing to be a crisis in Milwaukee, residents at Franklin Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Franklin, recently hosted a drive to support a mobile outreach organization for the unhoused. The seniors delivered donations of clothing and hygiene items to Street Angels Milwaukee Outreach, whose aim is to bridge the gap between homelessness and housing through support, advocacy and community collaboration
“Our seniors felt a great sense of purpose filling boxes for those in need,” said Tiffany McClain, life engagement director for Franklin Place. “Having dementia doesn’t mean that they can’t help others and give back to the community. It brings them great joy to help others get back on their feet.”
Franklin Place is located at 9201 West Drexel Ave., Franklin, WI.
