Franklin's 2023 Independence Day Celebrations Begin In June

With July 4 falling on a Tuesday this year, Franklin's celebrations will take place earlier than usual. Here's what to expect for 2023.

FRANKLIN, WI — It may be hard to believe, but July 4 and the many other hallmark festivals of a Wisconsin summer are just around the corner.

The holiday falls on a Tuesday this year, so in Franklin, officials scheduled the Independence Day Celebration for the weekend prior. Attendees will find the city's 2023 celebration at Lion's Legend Park, at the corner of Drexel Avenue and Loomis Road, from June 30 to July 2, according to a news release from the city.

The 2023 Franklin celebration will feature a host of familiar events, music and more. Musician Bella Cain's Top 40 country will kick off the festival on Friday, and in the days following, visitors can expect a cornhole tournament, a wrestling brawl, a ferris wheel, a kids parade, and more.
