Free Sliders If Franklin Sabers Win State Title: Billy Sims BBQ

FRANKLIN, WI — The Franklin Sabers will head to the Division 1 High School Football State Championship in Madison on Friday, and ahead of a possible victory, Billy Simms BBQ is preparing to celebrate.

The recently opened BBQ restaurant announced on it will host a watch party of the game at 4 p.m. on Friday at its 7358 West Rawson Avenue location in Franklin. If the Sabers win the State Title, the franchise says it will hand out free pulled pork sliders on Saturday.

The free sliders will come to a close when the restaurant hands out one sandwich for every one point scored by Sabers football this season, so at least 584, a news release from the business said.

The Franklin Sabers will face off against Sun Prarie in the Division 1 Football State Championship at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison on Friday. The game starts at 4 p.m.

"It's always more fun to watch a game with a crowd—and since we're a family-oriented restaurant, it seemed like a great place for the high school kids to go with their friends and family to watch the game," Clay Covert, franchise owner, said in a statement.

"And when a win activates Saturday's slider giveaway, we'll be offering up a chance for everyone to reconvene and further celebrate the win," Covert added.

Aside from the free sliders should the Sabers win, Billy Sims BBQ offers a variety of barbecue menu items and traditional sides.
