Grand Opening Set For Dog Haus At Franklin's Ballpark Commons
A new spot in Franklin's Ballpark Commons that offers gourmet hot dogs and more has set its grand opening for January.
FRANKLIN, WI — A new hot dog eatery at Franklin's Ballpark Commons has set a date for its grand opening.
The Dog Haus will make its official debut on Jan. 7 and 8. Beyond its "Absolute Wurst" gourmet hot dogs, the California-based franchise also offers sausages, burgers, fried chicken and plant-based options.
During the grand opening weekend on Jan. 7 and 8, 20 percent of proceeds will go to the Return on Community (ROC) Foundation, according to a news release from ROC Ventures.

“We have so many exciting ways for the community to try our delicious Haus Dogs, Sausages and Burgers," said Franchisee Jim Pekar in a news release. "They will quickly see that there is something for everyone on our menu, and at Dog Haus Biergarten Ballpark Commons, everyone is family.”

Mike Zimmerman, owner of ROC Ventures and a Dog Haus Franchisee, said he's excited for Dog Haus to partner with the ROC Foundation.
“Our whole organization is invested in its mission of preparing kids for success in sports, their careers and life in general by providing a strong foundation and sense of community," said Zimmerman in a news release.
The new restaurant, located next to the new Luxe Golf Bays, is already open to customers after a soft opening. The spot is located at 7055 South Ballpark Drive. Here are its hours:
- Sunday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday 8:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
ROC Ventures described the restaurant as "the perfect spot for Wisconsinites to grab a delicious dog before cheering on the Milwaukee Milkmen or the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team," in a news release.
“We’re excited to expand into the great state of Wisconsin at such a cool location that offers a great range of entertainment options, in the same way that our menu contains something for everyone,” said Dog Haus’ Founding Partner Quasim Riaz in the release.
