FRANKLIN, WI — A Jersey Mike's Subs location is set to open its doors to Franklin on Wednesday at 6531 27th Street, a news release from the company said.

The sandwich chain touts itself as being known for its fresh sliced and grilled subs, topped with vegetables, plus its cheesesteaks. The owner of Franklin's new franchise location, Dave Deason, is holding a grand opening plus a fundraiser starting Wednesday until May 22 in support of the Return on Community Foundation, the company's news release said.

A "special fundraising coupon distributed through a grassroots effort" will allow customers to donate $3 to the organization in exchange for a regular sub during the fundraiser, according to the news release. Only customers who received that "special" coupon are eligible.

Menu items include sandwiches made with meats and cheeses that the store cuts on the spot. Store-baked bread is used and sandwiches can be topped off with vegetables like onions, lettuce and tomatoes, plus a red wine vinegar blended with olive oil, the news release said. The store also makes cheesesteaks.

The new location is looking for people interested in a job with them. People who are interested can apply by emailing pavel@jm-holdings.net.

Jersey Mike's says it has more than 2,200 locations nationwide with subs and fresh-baked bread that go back to a recipe from 1956.
