Man Accused Of Using Dating App To Victimize Women Arrested: Police

A man police identified as a person of interest in a death investigation was arrested Tuesday on charges of identity theft, police said.

FRANKLIN, WI — A man identified as a person of interest in a death investigation was arrested in Franklin on Tuesday on warrants of personal identity theft, according to police and online court records.

Racine police posted public bulletins about the suspect, 52-year-old Timothy L. Olson, first on Nov. 9, and again on Nov. 21 saying a woman fell unconscious at a bar in his presence on Nov. 17. It was the third woman known to have ended up unconscious with him, Racine police said.

A report from CBS58 on Saturday explained how 55-year-old Kim Yvonne Mikulance died after the Nov. 17 encounter, with a statement from her family calling the "daughter, mother, grandmother and friend... ...kind, generous and beloved soul." South Milwaukee police confirmed Olson as a person of interest in the death investigation, the CBS58 report said.

Racine police at first said the suspect met women on dating apps and then victimized them resulting in financial loss. The warrants for felony personal ID theft were out of Mount Pleasant, Racine police said.

Franklin police said they took Olson into custody around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday after he was confirmed to be in the city at a business on South 27th Street on Monday.

Online records show Olson facing charges of misappropriating identify information to obtain money. Each of the five charges, a class H felony, could carry up to six years in prison if Olson is convicted.
