Man Taken Into Custody After Threats Toward Police + Backpack Stolen

FRANKLIN, WI — Police took a Franklin man into custody on May 9 in the 4600 block of Hilltop Lane after he made a threat about killing police officers, the Franklin Police Department reported in its latest call logs.

Police said the man sent an email threatening officers and a district attorney with pipe bombs and molotov cocktails, and threats he was going to kill his relatives. Police say charges were referred to the District Attorney's Office.

• Someone took a backpack containing a purse, credit cards and social security cards from a vehicle that was parked at The Rock the afternoon of May 10, 7011 Ballpark Drive, according to logs.
• Fifteen juveniles have been identified and cited after a home in the 8200 block of 43rd Street was vandalized with toilet paper and barbecue sauce on Saturday, according to police logs.
• Someone in the 10500 block of Cortez Circle told police their vehicle's gas tank was damaged on Sunday after someone tried to drain the gas from it in the previous two weeks, according to logs.
