Memory Care Residents Honored for Patriotic Service

Four veterans at Franklin Place were thanked for their contributions and service.

Four residents at Franklin Place, an Anthem Memory Care community, were recently honored for their patriotic service during a Veteran’s Day celebration at the community located at 9201 West Drexel Ave., Franklin, WI. Representatives from the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW and Gentiva hospice presented the residents with certificates and pins to commemorate their dedication and bravery.

“Although these veterans may not recall all of the details of how they helped their country, it is important to remember what they did,” said Tiffany McClain, life engagement director for Franklin Place. “We honor their stories and celebrate their patriotism.”

Veterans who were recognized: Charles Eigner, 92, Navy; Kurt Czerwenka, 89, served in Army with Elvis; Don Jacobson, 101, Navy, WW II; and Roberto Assardo, 92, Army.
