FRANKLIN, WI — The Milwaukee Milkmen made a worthy shot for this season's playoffs in a wild card game Wednesday night, but ended up coming short.

"Milkmen fall in the sudden death Wild Card game ending their season," the team posted on Twitter. "Tip the cap to the boys for a fun one, next year we’re coming back with vengeance."

The Milkmen fell to the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks last night 5-o. Hopes were high that the team may lead Milwaukee to another American Association Championship win, such as what was seen with last year's underdog turnaround.

When push came to shove, though, the Redhawks proved victorious. Things weren't all a bummer after the game, though—Chicago's team, the Dogs, still has a chance to lose.

"Congrats on a great season," the Redhawks told the Milkmen on Twitter after the game.
