Power Outages Remain Around Franklin Morning After Storm

We Energies said its goal is to restore 90 percent of outages by noon on Tuesday. Several outages lingered in the Franklin area.

FRANKLIN, WI — We Energies said its goal is to fix 90 percent of remaining power outages after Monday's storm by noon Tuesday. Outages remaining after 12 p.m. will be restored or assigned by 7 p.m., the utility company said in a Facebook post.

Multiple outages, leaving thousands without power, remained in and around Franklin into Tuesday after thunderstorms struck. Three outages reported near Forest Home Avenue and Woods Road were affecting over 4,000 We Energies customers in Franklin as of 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Altogether across the region, the storms left about 45,000 We Energies customers without power, according to the company's tracker. Around 20,000 people were still without power early Tuesday.

Many of the outages reported around Franklin appear to be from trees, according to the tracker. The outages come as high heat arrives to Wisconsin.

A heat advisory is in effect Tuesday and Wednesday, with a heat index of around 100 expected, said forecasters.
