Severe Thunderstorms Left Power Outages Around Franklin Wednesday
Tornado warnings sounded out Wednesday night as severe thunderstorms crawled across Wisconsin. Thousands remain without power.
UPDATE: Power outages have been resolved in Franklin, according to WE Energies outage maps.
FRANKLIN, WI — Utility crews continue to clean up after severe thunderstorms rolled across Wisconsin from north to south. Tornado warnings were issued one after the other, with sirens blaring around overnight until about 2 a.m.
The National Weather Service called the thunderstorms a particularly dangerous situation. Large hail and high wind were expected.

Several power outages remained into Thursday morning. Across southeastern Wisconsin, at least 29,092 WE Energies customers are affected by outages, according to the WE Energies map at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
Across Wisconsin, about 90,000 people were without power, according to data tracked by PowerOutage.US.

Northern Wisconsin was hardest hit by the storms. Multiple outlets have reported significant property damage in Concord, Jefferson County. Two tornadoes have been confirmed to have touched down, a National Weather Service investigation found.

In Franklin, over 2,000 customers were affected by at least three outages. Near S North Cape Road and Rawson Avenue one outage remained due to a tree, affecting 46 people, according to the WE Energies map.
Near Forest Home Avenue and St Martins Road, two outages were reported by the map, affecting 2,047 people.
