Packers, Bears Release Injury Reports Ahead Of Wild Card Matchup

Several starters were limited or out as Green Bay and Chicago prepare for Saturday night at Soldier Field.

GREEN BAY, WI — The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears released their first injury reports of the week Tuesday as the longtime NFC North rivals prepare to meet Saturday night in the NFC Wild Card playoff at Soldier Field.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT, with the game streaming nationally on Amazon Prime Video.

Green Bay listed several starters and key contributors as limited participants during Tuesday’s walk-through practice, which teams note is an estimated report rather than a full-speed session.

Players limited on Tuesday included defensive lineman Warren Brinson (foot), safety Javon Bullard (knee), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (shoulder), offensive lineman Zach Tom (back/knee), wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (concussion), quarterback Malik Willis (right shoulder/hamstring), and linebacker Nick Niemann (pectoral).

Bo Melton (knee) did not participate.

Wide receiver Matthew Golden (Achilles) and defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness (foot) were listed as full participants.

Nick Niemann and John Williams are both currently in their 21-day practice windows after being designated to return from injured reserve.

Bears Injury Report

Chicago also listed multiple starters as limited or out Tuesday, including wide receivers DJ Moore (knee) and Rome Odunze (foot), along with offensive lineman Ozzy Trapilo (quadricep).

Defensive backs C.J. Gardner-Johnson (concussion) and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka (concussion) did not participate, as did wide receiver Jahdae Walker (illness).

Defensive back Kyler Gordon (groin) and offensive lineman Braxton Jones (knee) are both designated to return from injured reserve, with Jones listed as a full participant. Defensive back Nick McCloud (illness) was also a full participant.

Game Outlook

Green Bay enters the postseason as the NFC’s No. 7 seed and is a slight favorite over Chicago, with most sportsbooks listing the Packers as 1.5-point favorites heading into the Wild Card matchup.

The teams will release additional injury updates later in the week as the playoff picture comes into clearer focus ahead of Saturday night’s kickoff in Chicago.
