Greenfield Credit Union Robbed; Suspect Apprehended at Southridge

Witnesses helped with the capture.

A 62-year-old armed man is in custody after allegedly robbing 6126 W. Layton Ave., Thursday morning.

According to the Greenfield Police Department, the man entered the credit union, displayed a handgun and demanded money. An unknown amount of money was handed over to the man who then fled the credit union in a small dark vehicle.

Two witnesses followed the suspect and helped lead Greenfield and Greendale police to the car in the parking lot. There, police apprehended the man and recovered money and a handgun.
