Celebrate Your Local Libraries During National Card Sign-Up Month

When was the last time you visited your local library to check out a free book, DVD or use any other of the organization's services?

Can't remember?

Well, September is the perfect time to get into the habit as part of the American Library Association's National Library Card Sign-up Month.

Even better, the Greendale Public Library also offers 75th Anniversary commerative cards in a wallet-size and a key tag for $1.

Any Milwaukee County resident of any age can get a library card. Applicants must provide two forms of ID, both showing name and one showing name and current address. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian, with proper identification, in order to receive a Library card. Apply today at the library, or start the application process online by clicking here. 

If you had a card at one time but can't find it,  can offer a replacement cards for $1. 

The Greendale Public Library new hours are from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Learn more about library events on its calendar.
