Everything OK After Fuel Spill in the Village

The spill happened near Grange Avenue and 60th Street on Saturday afternoon.

A private-owned vehicle pulling a trailer with a tank that held about 100 gallons of fuel spilled near Grange Avenue and 60th Street on Saturday afternoon.

Greendale Village Manager Todd Michaels said the trailer must have shifted and dumped about 75 gallons of fuel on the roadway. The fuel ended up draining into one of the sewers. Crews and an outside hired company spent Saturday night and Sunday morning cleaning up.

Michaels said it was a small isolated incident and everything was cleaned. Residents should not worry.
