Where/when: Friday, March 4 throughout the day at

2. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Golf Show

Where/When: Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park/Friday, 1-8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Because golf season is right around the corner and if you do go, you can get the latest equipment and some helpful tips at the same time.

Pricing: $5.50 in advance; $7 at the door

3. Wisconsin Kennel Club Dog Show

Where/When: Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park/Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why Go: The expo center will be a happening location this weekend. At the dog show, not only will there be 1,200 dogs, but you can also visit exhibits to buy the newest products, services and supplies.

Pricing: $8 adults, $7 seniors, $5 children under 12

4. Horizon League Men's Basketball Tournament

Where/When: US Cellular Arena/Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m.

Why Go: It's March Madness time, that's why! A ticket will get you into two games. Quarterfinals are Friday and semifinals are Saturday. The top-seeded UW-Milwaukee Panthers don't play until 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Pricing: Tickets start at $17 (not including additional fees)

5. Country legend Rodney Crowell at Turner Hall

Where/When: Turner Hall Ballroom/Friday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: Crowell is a tremendous song-writer and musician, and for tickets priced this low, you can't go wrong.

Pricing: $20

6. Mummies of the World

Where/When: Milwaukee Public Museum/Friday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Why Go: The exhibit runs through May 30, but why wait to see the largest exhibition of mummies in the world?

Pricing: Admission to the museum and the exhibit starts at $24.50, but it's cheaper for museum members, seniors and children.
