Greendale Board of Education Appoints Salem
Nine community members submitted applications to fill the position. The vote approving Salem was unanimous.

GREENDALE, WI — The Greendale School Board named Kimberly Salem to fill a vacant Board seat at its meeting on Monday, Feb. 17. Salem will serve until April 2021, the remainder of the term held by former Board member John Comiskey, who resigned last month.
A Greendale resident, Salem is the parent of two Greendale Schools students and a preschooler. She works at the School District of Brown Deer as its Director of Human Resources.
The district accepted applications for the seat from Jan. 13 through Jan. 27. Candidates were interviewed at the Feb. 17 meeting and the vote by Board members was held in open session.

Nine community members submitted applications to fill the position. The vote approving Salem was unanimous, who took the Oath of Office before the meeting ended.
She will join the Board at its next Greendale Board of Education meeting on Monday, March 2, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. in the Greendale High School Library.
