Greendale's Donna Ouellette's 'Spirit' Shines

The Village resident will be honored by the Greendale Chamber of Commerce with the organization's annual Spirit of Greendale award in February.

To say Donna Ouellette has “Greendale” spirit is a bit of an understatement.

She is the co-chairperson of the Village’s Public Celebrations committee, executive board member of the Greendale Entertainment Association, Director of the Greendale Entertainment Associations resale that is held twice a year and co-director of the Family Entertainment area for Village Days.

But wait, there’s more. Ouellette has served on the PTO board at Greendale Middle School and taught Sunday school at St. Alphonsus Parish and School for many years.

Those combined efforts have made Ouellette an easy choice for the Greendale Chamber of Commerce’s annual Spirit of Greendale award, which she will receive at the organization’s annual banquet Feb. 12.

Born and raised in Greendale, Ouellette attended St. Alphonsus grade school for 8 years and graduated from Greendale High School in 1980.  She is a bank manager and loan officer at Great Midwest Bank, has three sons and still enjoys living in the Village.

Ouellette credits her volunteerism to her father Ron Bonk, who was always volunteering in Greendale as she was growing up.

The Greendale Chamber of Commerce annual awards banquet is 5:30 p.m. Feb. 12, at Joey Gerard’s. The cost is $50, and reservations are required.
