Greendale Teachers Will Have a 1.64% Salary Increase
The raise is part of a tentative agreement reached between the Greendale School Board and the Greendale Education Association.

The Greendale School Board approved a 1.64 percent salary increase for teachers retroactive to the beginning of the 2011-12 school year.
This is part of a tentative agreement reached between the Board and the Greendale Education Association for the 2011-12 School Year. Erin Green, Interim Superintendent and Director of Business Services, said it has taken this long becase both groups were still sorting out the requirements of the new Act 10 law and were waiting for guidance. The raise was approved at Monday's School Board meeting.
The GEA and Greendale School District are still in the process of reaching agreement on teacher benefits, Green said.

Teachers saw a 2 percent salary increase for the 2010-11 school year.Â
"We've all been dealing within a new world and thanks to the teachers in the GEA for entering this new path with us and continuing to collaborate," said School Board President Joe Crapitto at the meeting.
