Greendale Water Rates Increasing By 3.2%

The water rate increase will go into effect on August 1.

Water rates for general service will increase 3.2 percent effective August 1.

The Village last increased its water rates in 2010 by only 3% after several years of operating in a negative cash position, said Greendale Clerk-Treasurer Kathy Kasza. The rate increase was necessary to keep up with the costs of operating the utility.

The Village of Greendale Water Utility will file an application on June 1 with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) for authority to increase water rates. If applicable, Public Fire Protection and wholesale rates will also increase 3.2 percent.
