November 21 Declared Greendale High School Marching Band Day

The band won their seventh consecutive title.

November 21, 2011 has been declared as the Marching Band Day in the Village of Greendale by the Board of Trustees.

In October the band, under the direction of Band Director Tom Reifenberg and his staff, earned their seventh consecutive Class AA Division First Place Award at this year’s 27th Annual Wisconsin School Music Association’s State Marching Band Championships. The band also won Best Color Guard, Best Percussion and Best Musical Presentation.

The declaration states, "the Greendale High School Marching Band, 187 students strong, were set apart from others at the competition by the difficulty of the visual portion, their musicianship, and creativity of their show....these band members have promoted student enthusiasm while exemplifying teamwork in their highly perfected performances."
