At 10 a.m., there will an interactive program where kids can learn all about small animals and reptiles β€” including a tortoise, snake, chinchilla and bunnies. And at 2 p.m.Β two of the nation’s top impersonators will portray Abe and Mary Lincoln in a presentation aimed specifically at kids. President Lincoln will talk about things likeΒ growing up in a log cabin, how he got his beard, why he wears such a tall hat, good citizenship, the importance of getting a good education. You get get more details on the library's website or by calling (414) 423-2316.

  • Music Under the Stars:Β At 7 p.m. Saturday, theΒ New Moonlighters will perform tunes from the '50s andΒ '60s at Gazebo Park as part of the "Saturday Night Fun on the Green" concert series. And the special guest that evening will beΒ saxophonist Warren Weigratz of Streetlife.Β You can find out more by checking out the Greenfield Entertain Association's website.Β

  • Last Chance for 'Les Mis': And don't forget, theΒ Greendale Community Theatre's production ofΒ "Les MisΓ©rables"will wrap up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Greendale High School.Β Β Tickets can be purchased through the Greendale Community TheatreΒ website.

  • State Fair Starts Thursday:Β Cream puffs, racing pigsΒ and food-on-a-stick make their annual appearance in West Allis as the Wisconsin State Fair gets under way on Thursday and runs through Aug. 11.Β Β And if you pay full price for admission, you're just as dumb as a chicken because there are discounts just about every day. You'll find everything you need to know on the fair's website.

  • Summer Returns:Β And just in time for the fair, the area weather is going to seem a lot more summer-like starting Thursday, according to the forecast fromΒ Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News. Monday and Tuesday, the temps will be in the mid-70s before getting to the high 70s or low 80s on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There is a chance of showers every day except Monday and Thursday.
