• Milwaukee County EMS blood transfusion program looks to expand (spectrumnews1.com) — Greendale firefighters are among just seven Milwaukee County departments now carrying whole blood for life-saving transfusions before patients even reach the hospital. In the program’s first year, 38 people, including four children, received blood en route, and county health leaders now want to expand this capability to protect even more local residents from otherwise fatal bleeding emergencies.
