Police Blotter: Stuck in the Snow, Two Burglaries, OWI with a BAC of .12

A woman reported on Wednesday morning that her mother was stuck in between two house and laying in the snow. Also, the smell of gas was detected. Fire Department checked the furnace and ventilated the residence.

An 80-year-old woman was found dead  on Highview Drive on Tuesday.

A man reported that his sister-in-law left her 9-year-old daughter home alone on Sunday while she was at the bar at around 8 p.m. The daughter was left with a friend and alone for only a short time. The mother returned home. Bureau of Child Welfare was contacted.

Burglaries

• A computer and two 20 foot sections of copper pipe (valued at $500 each) were stolen from a law office on the 6900 block of Industrial Loop on Jan. 29.
• A cleaning person reported that her customer's home had been broken into on Friday. Homeowner was in Illinois.

OWI

• A 43-year-old woman was arrested for drunk driving on Sunday at around 2 p.m. She had the blood alcohol concentration of .12, possession of marijuana and was deviating from designated lane.

Retail Theft

• A 21-year-old woman was arrested for theft on Jan. 31 at Old Navy at around 1 p.m.
• A 23-year-old man and 21 year-old-man were arrested for theft on Jan. 31 at Kohls at 7 p.m.
• A 25-year-old man was arrested for theft on Jan. 31 at JCPenney at around 9 p.m.
• A 52-year-0ld man was arrested for stealing from Kohls and then fleeing on Tuesday at around  2 p.m. Man was detained near Aurora building.
• Two girls were arrested for theft on Tuesday at Kohls at around 4 p.m.
• A 28-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were arrested for theft on Thursday at around noon at Kohls.
• A girl was arrested for theft on Thursday at Boston Store at around 4 p.m.
• A 59-year-old woman was arrested for theft on Thursday at JCPenney at around 5 p.m.
• An 18-year-old man was arrested for theft on Friday at Claire's at around 4 p.m.
• A 21-year-old woman was arrested for theft on Friday at Kohls at around 5 p.m.
• A 34-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested for theft on Saturday at JCPenney at around 6 p.m.

Trespassing

• A 27-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday for handicap parking violation and trespassing after she had been banned from Charlotte Russe. A 22-year-old woman was also arrested for receiving stolen property and removing a theft detection device.
