School District Extends Retirement Notice Deadline Due to Walker's Bill
Retirement notice extended because of chaos in Madison.

The Greendale school district extended the deadline for intention of retirement, "because of all the ongoing chaos in Madison," said Superintendent William Hughes.
Gov. Scott Walker has proposed a bill that will strip collective bargaining rights from union public employees in attempt to balance the state deficit. Tens of thousands of protesters have rallied in Madison the past week, including several teachers who would be affected by the bill.
It is suspected that more teachers might announce intent of retirement if the bill gets passed.
