In this world of texting, technology and microwaves, aprons may seem a bit out of place, but CJ, who is the woman behind the counter of the Test Kitchen at the Greendale Visitor Center, said they're hot sellers.
"I think they really take a traditional item and make them new - there are just so many different styles out there," she explained.
Elaborate and even edgy, the cover-ups have evolved from the simple floral wraps your grandmother wore when she was working in the kitchen, CJ explained. In addition, they are representing a need for tradition.

"We often see these sold as a way for grandmothers and granddaughters to build relationships, and in general people like to go back a little to revive traditions," she said.
