Varsity Cheerleaders Day Proclaimed in the Village

April 1 has been proclaimed as Varsity Cheerleaders Day.

The Village of Greendale proclaimed April 1 as Varsity Cheerleaders Day in the village on Tuesday's board meeting.

The  Greendale High School Varsity Cheerleaders placed second at the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Fl. on Feb. 12 and 13. This was the highest finish of any Wisconsin all-gril team at Finals in the National High School Cheerleading Championships.

The team is coached by Tina Zamjahn, Jenna LePine, Whitney Dawe-Crahen and Ms. Patti Mazur.

The proclamation describes the  Varsity Cheer Team as, "well-rounded athletes in their own right with tumbling, technical stunting and jumping expertise and have earned the respect of their school and community."
