Village Board Gives Final Approval for Panda Express

The Greendale Village Board made the final approval on April 17 for a Panda Express at a portion of the old Leath furniture building.

Village staff worked with Panda Express on revisions in areas, such as sidewalk extensions, landscape plans, parking spaces sizes and signage. 

Longhorn Steakhouse, another restaurant, is rumored to be coming alongside Panda Express.

The Leath building, which has been vacant for several years, is located on the northwest corner of Southridge Mall. Before Leath Furniture was in the building, Sears Home Life occupied it. Leath Furniture closed all its Milwaukee-area locations four years ago. 

Restaurant officials said that the restaurant would be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The hours might change if the restaurant brings a request to the Village.
