As Playoffs Approach, Hudson Up for 'Team of the Week' at WisSports.net
Online voting ends Thursday at 4 p.m.; Raiders face E.C. Memorial at home Friday in a Round 1 playoff game.

Here's a way for Raiders supporters to bide time until Friday at 7 p.m. when Hudson High School hosts E.C. Memorial at Newton Field for a Round 1 playoff game:Â
After a dramatic win over Memononie Friday, Hudson is one of five high school football teams in the running for WisSports.net's final 2013 Team of the Week poll. The other nominees are Athens, Pius XI, Platteville and Racine Horlick.
Here's what WisSports.net says about Hudson:
"The Raiders entered the 2009 season with just one playoff win in school history, but since that time have made quite a splash on the state scene and established themselves as one of the fastest rising programs in the state. Nowhere is that more evident than their recent dominance of the powerhouse Menomonie program. A 28-10 win over the Mustangs Friday gave them six straight wins in the series, and clinched a second straight outright Big Rivers title. Quarterback Landry Otten completed 11 of 20 passes for 238 yards and 2 scores, with Jake Giordana hauling in 6 catches for 142 yards and both touchdowns."
Voting ends at 4 p.m. Thursday.Â
