The girl didn't return after a trip to her aunt's house around 9 p.m. Sunday, her father told police. Peters' body was found around 9:15 a.m., the police chief said.

A bicycle that belonged to Peters was in the woods near her aunt's house, and police searched the wooded area and went door to door.
