concerts sharing their gift of beautiful choral music with the Hudson community
and the St. Croix Valley, ushering in the final week before Christmas.

The community is invited to attend one of the concerts and celebrate the
Christmas season with the Chorale members.
General admission tickets are $10.00 and can be ordered online at the Choraleβs
website therivercitychorale.com. Both concerts sold out last year prior to the day
of the concert, so tickets will likely not be available at the door.
The 80-member River City Chorale Christmas Choir will perform a variety of
traditional and contemporary Christmas selections, including: 21 st century
composer Dan Forrestβs arrangements of the English carols βSee Amid the
Winterβs Snowβ and βAngels from the Realms of Gloryβ; a contemporary version
of βO Come, O Come Emanuelβ; the Catalonian carol βCold December Flies
Away; early 20 th century carols βDing! Dong! Merrily on Highβ and βIn the Bleak
Midwinterβ; Benjamin Brittenβs arrangement of the 16 th century poem βThis Little
Babeβ; and βChristmas Pops Trioβ showcasing modern holiday classics.
The Youth Choir will perform Dan Kantorβs βNight of Silenceβ, βWhat I Can Giveβ
by Mary Beale and arrangements of traditional favorites βPata Panβ and βDo You
Hear What I Hearβ
The Ensemble Singers will perform the a cappella βGlory to God in the Highestβ,
βRejoice and Singβ, John Rutterβs modern update of the classic carol βI Saw
Three Shipsβ, βLullabyβ by 21 st century composer, Daniel Elder, and βChrist the
Appletreeβ by Stanford Scriven.
The Christmas Choir and the Ensemble Singers will come together and perform
βCarol Fantasiaβ, a medley of the most beloved traditional Christmas carols.
All three groups are under the direction of The Choraleβs Artistic Director, Andrew
Haase. Jodell Krause will be the accompanist for the Chorale and the Ensemble
Singers and Susan Whitten will accompany the Youth Choir. Additional
