Nearby Crash Sends 3 to the Hospital

Three people were injured last week in a nearby crash on County Highway F, according to Wisconsin State Patrol.

Emergency responders were called at 10:58 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at County Highway F at Arrowhead Lane in Sawyer County, just north of Birchwood.

"Initial investigation indicates a northbound vehicle, occupied by an adult female and child, lost control due to the poor road conditions and traveled into the path of a southbound vehicle, which was occupied by one adult male," said an accident report sent Tuesday.

All occupants were taken to the Lake View Medical Center in Rice Lake where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Assisting agencies included the Birchwood Police Department, Birchwood Ambulance, Birchwood Fire Department, and Sawyer County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash remained under investigation Tuesday by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
