Willow River Trail Run, Fall Open House and Halloween Bash

If you’re looking to get outside before the winter weather hits, there are several events coming up at Willow River State Park in October.

Here are some of the events, according to the Organization for Wildlife Learning website.

12th annual Willow River Trail Run and Open House

Saturday, Oct. 5

Registartion 8 a.m., 9 a.m. race.

Details: 5K walk/run and 10K run. Run along the Willow River through the park’s woods, trails and meadows. Race day cost is $23 per person age 13 and older, $18 for youth 12 and under.

Halloween Bash

5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26

Details: Crafts, games, snacks and storytelling. Cost is $2 per person.

Young Naturalist Class

9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 11

Details: Take a nature hike and talk about “Creatures of the Night.” Free to attend, one parent chaperone required.

Vehicle admission is required for all events.
