• Bird flu found in dairy cattle for first time in Wisconsin (spectrumnews1.com) — Jefferson County poultry owners should know that bird flu has already appeared in several Wisconsin counties this year, including Jefferson, and has prompted a suspension of poultry-related events there through December 31. State officials have now also confirmed the first-ever case of bird flu in Wisconsin dairy cattle, in Dodge County, while stressing that commercial milk remains safe and human risk is low.
