Here are the top three stories in Madison today:
- Two adults were taken to the hospital after crashing into a tree on Madison's west side. The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on Thursday morning. Both were taken to the hospital, with one adult sustaining "serious injuries." While police investigated the crash around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, the area around South Whitney Way and Endeavor Lane was closed. (WKOW)
- The Dane County Sheriff's Office advises Dane County residents to be wary of a recent sophisticated phone scam. During the call, the scammers claim to represent the Sheriff's Office and leave a message asking people to call (608) 401-2540. The sheriff's office does not ask for money over the phone and residents should never give out any personal or financial information over the phone. If you've received a scam phone call, the sheriff's office asks residents to report the incident by calling the non-emergency dispatch number at (608) 255-2345. (Press Release Desk)
- WedPlan Madison will host a wedding show next week. Yesterday morning on Wake Up Wisconsin, Dana Gee from WedPlan Madison talked about some of the trends this season — like boho vibes and large cakes — and advertised the company's upcoming event. WedPlan Madison's Spring Wedding Show will take place Sunday, May 1 at the Madison Marriot West and focuses on helping brides plan their big day. (WKOW)
