County Of Dane: Town Of Deerfield Structure Fire

March 5, 2022

At approximately 7:15pm on Saturday, March 5, 2022, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Fire Departments from McFarland, Lake Mills and Deer Grove responded to a single occupancy residence on fire in the 3400 block of Prairie Dr. in the Town of Deerfield. The fire appeared to have started at the garage and spread to the main structure.

All residents were able to safely evacuate. Estimated damage is approximately $200,000

The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time but it does not appear to be suspicious.
