Here are the top three stories today in Madison:

  1. Dane County is updating its Noise Compatibility Plan for the Dane County Regional Airport after the Part 150 study. The update is to comply with the Federal Aviation Administration's Code of Federal Regulations. Dane County, the owner and operator of the airport, sponsored the study. (Isthmus)
  2. Madison College's Truax Gallery will be exhibiting Austen Brantley's newest works. The collection is called "Coarse" and explores the identity connected to hair. The exhibit is open and free to the public from Apr. 26 through May 13. (Madison Area Technical College)
  3. The Madison Police Department is investigating two different shots fired incidents that occurred over the weekend. On Saturday night, reports of shots being fired occurred in the 500 block of Bram Street and the 5400 block of Congress Avenue. The department is asking the community to provide information related to the two incidents to Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014 or to the department at 608-255-2345.
