Here are the top three stories in Madison today:
- Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway wants to purchase a $425,000 system designed to filter PFAS chemicals out of a Madison well. The filter will reportedly filter the "forever chemicals" out of the city's drinking water. The purchase will be through a no-bid contract to meet the October deadline for state grants. (WTMJ)
- The Madison Police Department has arrested Jesse J. Ortega for allegedly injuring another man with a baseball bat outside of a clinic. The incident occurred in the 3100 block of E. Washington Ave on Saturday morning. Staff called the department after the two men were seen fighting outside the building. (WMTV – NBC15)
- Madison's Biergarten will open at Olbrich Park this Thursday. Guests will have the opportunity to order brats, beer, and various goods until 10:00 p.m. Tables will be spaced six feet apart in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the community. (WMTV – NBC15)
