36 Falls Residents Complete the Lakefront Marathon
Falls' Paul Steder literally joined 62 other runners who set a Guinness World Record for running a marathon tethered together.

More than 3,000 runners from 38 different states and five different countries converged on Milwaukee's lakefront Sunday for the 31st Annual Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon.
Finishing a 26-mile race is a feat in itself, but 62 runners from around the state literally joined together and ran the marathon connected by a long rope and karabiners. The group was raising funds for the rehabilitation care for Jenny Crain, a world-class runner who was severely injured in 2007 when she was hit by a car while training for the Olympics in Beijing.
Menomonee Falls resident Paul Steder joined the 62 runners on what they called the "Jennipede." The runners hoped to raise $75,000 before the raise, and ended up raising $108,000 for her care. They also set a Guinness World Record by running tethered together. Team Jennipede finished the marathon in 6 hours and 20 minutes.
