Community Memorial Accepting Nominations For Spirit of Caring Awards
The deadline to nominate a member of the medical staff is Jan. 31.

Community Memorial Hospital is now accepting nominations for the annual Spirit of Caring Awards.
Community members are encouraged to submit nominations for two separate awards — Community Service and Excellence in the Medical Profession — that recognize Community Memorial medical staff for their achievements.
"The Spirit of Caring Award — Community Service" recognizes members of Community Memorial Hospital medical staff who invest in their community through volunteer activities. “Community service” can include any type of volunteer activity by the doctor that benefits the community and is not directly job-related. This can include involvement with coaching athletics, church, community organizations, medical missions, charities, hobbies, etc.

"The Spirit of Caring Award — Excellence in the Medical Profession" recognizes members of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff who have advanced or made significant contributions to the medical profession locally, regionally and/or nationally through service, leadership and practice. This award is open to individuals who have been on staff at Community Memorial for at least five years and have not received a Spirit of Caring Award within the past five years.
Anyone may nominate a medical staff member for an award. Individuals nominated must be on the CMH medical staff. Award recipients will be announced on Doctor’s Day in March. They will also be recognized at the hospital’s Annual Medical Staff Service Award Reception in fall 2012 and receive an award and a monetary donation to the charity of their choice in their name.
