Mother Nature must have a good sense of humor.
On Wednesday, the sun was shining and temperatures in the area hit 53 degrees. By early afternoon, the clouds rolled in and brought cold weather and a mix of rain and snow. Well, prepare for a lot more of the latter.
According to the National Weather Service, approximately 6 to 8 inches of heavy, wet snow is expected to pile up later this evening. The Milwaukee area is under a Winter Storm Warning until 9 p.m. Friday. According to the weather service, this particular low pressure system is a "classic" Wisconsin weather pattern notrious for dropping heavy snow. Roughly 2 inches may fall per hour.
